Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
At JJ Smiles Dental and Implant Centre, we accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which provides eligible children aged 2 to 17 years with access to a range of essential dental services. Introduced on 1 January 2014, the CDBS offers a capped benefit of up to $1132 per child over a two-calendar-year period.
What Services Are Covered?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule covers a variety of basic dental services, including:
- Dental check-ups and examinations
- X-rays
- Teeth cleaning
- Fissure sealing
- Fillings
- Root canals
- Extractions
However, it is important to note that the CDBS does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental procedures, nor can benefits be claimed for services provided in a hospital setting.
Eligibility
The CDBS is available to children whose family receives the Family Tax Benefit Part A or another eligible Australian Government payment. To confirm your child’s eligibility, please contact Centrelink directly or call our friendly reception team with your Medicare details.
